Get outside and explore miles of scenic beauty throughout Randolph County. From peaceful greenways to wooded hiking paths, our trails offer the perfect way to experience summer in the Heart of North Carolina. Whether you're planning a family outing or an active weekend getaway, there’s a trail waiting for you.

Paved greenways at Creekside Park in Archdale, offer three miles of scenic walking trails along Muddy Creek. The perfect way to enjoy the summertime along with the playgrounds, disc golf course and a full one acre Dog Park.

For those who are looking for a more natural trail, the Deep River State Trail offers three separate trails throughout the Randolph County in Randleman, Franklinville, and Ramseur. With the additions of the Bush Creek and Sandy Creek Bridges, this intercounty trail system is continuing to grow and connect.

Kersey Valley Attractions

A favorite family destination year-round, Millstone Creek Orchards, in Ramseur, offers summer fun with fresh treats, outdoor activities, and farm experiences for all ages. Browse local goods, enjoy seasonal flavors, and spend the day making memories on the farm.

From Highland Cow adventures and themed story time mornings, to weekend brunches and vendor markets, Millstone Creek Orchards is a full day of family fun for all ages.

North Carolina Zoo

Located in Asheboro, the North Carolina Zoo is the world’s largest natural habitat zoo and one of North Carolina’s most iconic attractions. Spend the day exploring expansive habitats, seasonal experiences, family attractions, and over 1,700 animals from around the globe.

As the weather continues to heat up, the Zoo offers a special Polar Bear Mister in front of Rocky Coast in North America to help keep you cool during your adventures.

Indoor Fun

Linbrook Heritage Estate

Step back in time at Linbrook Heritage Estate, one of Randolph County’s hidden historic gems. Located in Trinity, this beautifully preserved property offers a glimpse into the region’s rich past through architecture, gardens, and stories that continue to inspire generations. Built in 2001 and inspired by Jeffersonian architecture and the grand homes of Europe, Linbrook Hall was offers one of the most unique venues in all of Randolph County. 

Also on property is the Neal Agricultural & Industrial Museum. Step back into agricultural history with 26 fully restored John Deer tractors. Be sure to come back for the first Saturday in October for the annual Steam Day festival.

North Carolina Aviation Museum

Take flight through history at the NC Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame in Asheboro. Featuring World War 1 to present day aircraft displays, aviation artifacts, and exciting exhibits, this attraction offers an engaging experience for aviation enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. American Classic Motorcycle Museum

Motorcycle fans won’t want to miss this impressive collection of vintage and classic bikes. The American Classic Motorcycle Museum in Asheboro showcases decades of motorcycle history dating back to the 1930s and 1940s and craftsmanship in a unique indoor experience.

Before or after your visit, be sure to check out the Heritage Diner located onsite. This local breakfast and lunch spot gives the perfect small town diner vibe while offering some great local southern cooking.

America 250 Film Series

Celebrate America’s story through special screenings and community programming connected to the nation’s 250th anniversary at the Sunset Theatre in Downtown Asheboro. This film series highlights historic films as well as American classics beginning on Monday June 29th all the way through July 4th. Learn More

Nothing says summer like baseball at McCrary Park in Asheboro. Catch the Asheboro ZooKeepers for an evening of family fun, ballpark food, and exciting Coastal Plain League action all season long.

Jerome Davis PBR & Wednesday Rodeos

Experience authentic rodeo excitement in Randolph County at the Davis Rodeo Ranch in Archdale. From the annual Davis PBR Invitational to weekly Boot Barn Wednesday Rodeos, these events bring western thrills and hometown energy together.

The 27th Boot Barn Jerome Davis PBR Invitational is set to take place Friday and Saturday June 26th and 27th in Archdale. This two day spectacle part of the Professional Bull Riders circuit is set to be a special weekend in Archdale. 

Boot Barn Wild West Wednesday occurs every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month starting in June through September. Offering even more family fun out on the ranch.

Seagrove Pottery Summer Events

Explore the handcrafted artistry that made Seagrove famous during special summer pottery events and studio experiences. Meet local artisans, shop one of a kind pieces, and discover why Seagrove is known as the handmade pottery capital of the United States.

June 6th - 7th check out the Seagrove Wood Fire Studio Tour with over a dozen studios will feature a great variety of new work. Learn about the process of firing with wood and discover the extensive array of effects each potter renders from the atmosphere inside a wood firing. Shops will feature new wood fired pottery.

While Seagrove pottery shops are open throughout the year, many studios will have special events taking place Saturdays in July for Stepping into the Craft. Visitors can expect anything from kiln openings, demonstrations, hands-on experiences in clay and more.
