Opened in 2010 to serve northbound travelers on I-73/74, the Northbound Visitor Center features lovely landscaped grounds with a beautiful water fountain as its focal point and includes picnic tables, grills, and a walking trail. The center offers visitor information for Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity including Creekside Park & Greenway, the North Carolina Zoo, Petty Family Attractions, and Linbrook Heritage Estate. Additionally, there are more than 60 displays from Seagrove area pottery shops; a tractor from Neal's Industrial & Agricultural Museum in Trinity; brochures and other collateral materials of interest from across the state including attractions and events in North Carolina's coastal, Piedmont, and mountain regions; and NCDOT road maps. There are two additional buildings for vending offering various snacks and drinks; and public restrooms which are open 24/7.

Opened in 2010 to serve southbound travelers on I-73/74, the Southbound Visitor Center features a rock waterfall and "green" rooftop where you can observe sweeping views of the Uwharrie National Forest and includes picnic tables, grills, and a walking trail. The center offers visitor information for Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity including Seagrove, the Pottery Capital of the U.S., Creekside Park and Greenway, the North Carolina Zoo, Petty Family Attractions, and Linbrook Heritage Estate. Additionally, there are various displays from local area attractions; brochures, and other collateral materials of interest from across the state including attractions and events in North Carolina's coastal, Piedmont, and mountain regions; and NCDOT road maps. There are two additional buildings for vending, offering various snacks and drinks; and public restrooms which are open 24/7.  


The I-73/74 Visitor Centers are staffed and operated by Randolph County Tourism Development Authority in partnership with the NC Department of Transportation and are located just one mile south of Exit 61/Hwy 705 in Seagrove, North Carolina.| For a complete list of NCDOT amenities and parking information for the rest and vending areas, click HERE.

Our Visitor Centers are open to serve the traveling public six days a week.

Fri - Sun, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
