Trinity, NC - Sunday August 28, Opens at 3 p.m. - Raptor release will take place promptly at 3:30 p.m- Celebrate with Zoo staff and volunteers as they release an owl, hawk or other raptor whose life was saved by staff at the Schindler Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. 

Admission * A portion of each ticket price ($10 for adult members; $15 for adult non-members; $5 for child members and $10 for child non-members) is tax-deductible as a donation to the NC Zoo Society, the 501(c)3 nonprofit that raises money for NC Zoo. All donation money will be used to support the Zoo's Schindler Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Children under the age of 2 are free. 

Regular Tickets provide entry to the event, two glasses of wine and light hors d'oeuvres. Soda available in lieu of wine. 

Raffle tickets available for a set of etched wine glasses courtesy of Buck’s Ridge; all proceeds will go directly to the center. 

Zimmerman Vineyards is a local family owned vineyard in Trinity, NC. Zimmerman Vineyard’s poured their first glass of wine in June of 2007. They offer a variety of white, red and sweet table wines. Seating is limited, so you might want to bring a lawn chair just in case. You are welcome to pack a picnic and spend the afternoon. 

The North Carolina Zoo Valerie H. Schindler Wildlife Rehabilitation Center provides free veterinary and rehabilitation services to orphaned and injured native North Carolina animals.
