Asheboro, NC - The Randolph Arts Guild offers a hands on opportunity to create your own clay spoon and bowl set with North Carolina Potter, Brooke Avery. The class is designed for ages 15 and up and meets on two consecutive Wednesdays, February 10 & 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will learn how to hand build and customize their own clay project that will be glazed and fired. All materials are provided. This class meets at the Randolph Arts Guild located in downtown Asheboro at 123 Sunset Avenue. The class costs $30 for R.A.G. members and $35 for non-members. Artist Bio:
Brooke Avery is a ceramic artist and pottery instructor who grew up grew up and currently resides in Trinity, NC. She graduated in 2008 from UNCG with a B.F.A. in Design. Brooke teaches pottery classes at the Randolph Arts Guild and is currently a working studio artist there. Her ceramic work can be found in Greensboro at the Center for Visual Arts and in Asheboro at Morings Fine Crafts and Brightside Gallery. Brooke is also the 2014 Chug & Chunk Womens Triathlon Champion.
