Asheboro, NC - North Carolina Zoo keepers and education staff will present programs on snakes, snake myths and the important role snakes play in nature during a special event, Save Our Snakes, at the zoo on May 17th & 18th.
Events on each day will between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Activities include: Zoo keeper talks and a Wheel-of-Fortune game at Cypress Swamp. There will be a snake identification station at Streamside and an education station on venomous/non-venomous snakes at Sonoran Desert.
Save Our Snakes is aimed at teaching people the importance of snakes in our environment. Plus, helping them discover how to identify snakes native to North Carolina.
