ASHEBORO - Asheboro Parks & Recreation is offering the 3rd annual "Kids Summer Movie Matinee" at the Sunset Theatre in Downtown Asheboro.

The weekly film series will be held every Thursday, beginning on June 18 and ending on August 20.

Movies start at 10:00 a.m. The theatre is located at 234 Sunset Ave.

A wide selection of children's movies will be offered. Films are rated G and PG. The movies are not just for kids, adults are also welcome.

The following films will be shown throughout the summer:

June 18, " The Land Before Time"
June 25, "The Tale of Despereaux"
July 9, "Madagascar Escape 2 Africa"
July 16, "Kung Fu Panda"
July 23, "Bolt"
July 30 "Open Season 2
August 6 " Meet the Robinsons"
August 13 "IGOR"
August 20, "Ratatouille"

All films are presented on the Big Screen in DLP Digital Cinema Format for the ultimate viewing experience.  Admission is $3.00 per person, which includes a small popcorn and small drink.
