Asheboro, NC - The Randolph Arts Guild invites the public to attend the opening reception for its Mugapalooza exhibition on Tuesday, November 4th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The exhibition will be on display at the Randolph Arts Guild’s Sara Smith Self Gallery at 123 Sunset Ave. in downtown Asheboro, NC during the month of November, 2014.

Mugapalooza will feature handmade mugs by 23 potters. The exhibition will be a "Cash and Carry" style show meaning that if you like one of the mugs you can purchase it and take it with you. The Arts Guild is advising patrons to attend the reception on Tuesday, November 4th to see the exhibition in its entirety.  According to Derrick Sides, the Arts Guild's Executive Director, "I think the Gallery Committee has struck upon an fantastic idea for this exhibition. The show really highlights how something a utilitarian as a mug can still be an art object and a sincere expression of beauty.  On top of that this show is perfectly timed to help everyone kick-off their holiday shopping season with handmade one-of-a-kind gifts."
