ASHEBORO - The North Carolina Zoo will remain closed to the public for the fourth straight day on Tuesday, Feb.2, as zoo staff work to clear ice and snow from visitor walkways, parking lots and service roads left in the wake of last weekend's winter storm.

Zoo employees will report to work Tuesday under Inclement Weather Plan A. The decision on Wednesday's operations will be made Tuesday afternoon.

The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, Dee Freeman, Secretary; Beverly E. Perdue, Governor.
