ASHEBORO-The North Carolina Zoo will remain closed to the public on Thursday, Feb.4, as snow and ice remaining from last weekend's winter storm continue to make some visitor walkways hazardous.
Zoo employees will report to work Thursday under Inclement Weather Plan A. The decision on Friday's operations will be made Thursday afternoon.
The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, Dee Freeman, Secretary; Beverly E. Perdue, Governor.
