NC Zoo to delay opening on Tuesday, March 18th

Asheboro, NC -- Due to the frozen precipitation that fell Monday and last night, the North Carolina Zoo will delay opening Tuesday, March 18, until noon.

The zoo's winter hours of  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. normally remain in effect from November through March.  Zoo staff are asked to report to work Tuesday as usual.

The public can learn about the zoo's daily operating status by calling the park's toll-free number at 1-800-488-0444 or by visiting the website at www.nczoo.org.
