Asheboro, NC - A record crowd attended the N.C. Zoo over the Memorial Day weekend, spurred by good weather, the return of a polar bear and a popular dinosaur exhibit.
Zoo officials announced today that 37,165 people attended the zoo this past weekend, breaking the previous Memorial Day weekend record of 32,732 visitors in 2008.
