Asheboro, NC - Are you in need of handmade ornaments to complete your holiday experience? The Randolph Arts Guild may have the answer for you. Join NC ceramic artist, Brooke Avery for an all ages opportunity to make your own holiday ornaments out of clay. Brooke will have examples to go by including wreaths, candy canes, Santa hats, and more. This workshop is designed for children, families, and creative adults. There is no pre-registration, it is on a first come, first serve basis on Friday, December 12 from 6 p.m. — 9 p.m. Plan on 30 minutes per ornament. You will need to return to the guild on Friday, December 19 to pick up your finished ceramic ornament. Open to all ages (under 7 with an adult), $5 for one ornament, $10 for two. Bio: Brooke Avery is a ceramic artist and pottery instructor who grew up grew up and currently resides in Trinity, NC. She graduated in 2008 from UNCG with a B.F.A. in Design. Brooke teaches pottery classes at the Randolph Arts Guild and is currently a working studio artist there. Her ceramic work can be found in Greensboro at the Center for Visual Arts and in Asheboro at Morings Fine Crafts. Brooke is also the 2014 Chug & Chunk Womens Triathlon Champion.
