Many people eat it in local restaurants and don't even realize it. Probably more are familiar with it through local retailers such as Deep Roots Market and Earth Fare or the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market and Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.
It's cheese from Goat Lady Dairy. Find out where this award-winning cheese comes from at the dairy's Spring Open House from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 3515 Jess Hackett Road in Climax. Explore sustainable agriculture by getting up close and personal with goats, kids, baby goats, chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, lambs, llamas, and organic gardens. The free event held in conjunction with an open house at nearby Rising Meadow Farm, 3750 Williams Dairy Road, Climax also features artists who will be creating and selling items made from yarn, wool, clay, and wood. And of course plenty of that tasty cheese will be for sale.
