CHARLOTTE — There was little debating the merits of the first significant artifact publicly presented to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The unveiling of the electric blue Plymouth Belvidere drew gasps from the crowd as the driver-crew chief tandem of Richard Petty and Dale Inman removed a black tarp from the car they visited victory lane with in 27 of 48 races during the 1967 NASCAR season including a record 10 in a row.
