Randleman, NC - On Saturday, October 25th thousands will converge in Randleman, North Carolina for the 26th Annual NASCAR Day Festival. Held from 9 am to 6 pm in downtown Randleman, the festival pays homage to its racing heritage with the First Family of NASCAR, the Petty family. Randleman’s Main Street and the new Commerce Square will be filled with everything from delicious food to handmade crafts, home products, racing memorabilia, cars, kids’ rides, simulators and three entertainment stages.

New this year is a variety of racing simulators – a race car, racing bus, and a wide screen simulator that will feed driver’s competitive edge information showing who is “top dog” for the day and who earns bragging rights. The main stage in Commerce Square will feature The Entertainer’s Band, nominated for five Cammy awards including band of the year, song of the year and entertainer of the year; and Nashville recording artist Tammie Davis will perform on the Randco Stage. Other entertainment will feature clogging, dance, and the Little Mr. & Ms. NASCAR Day Pageant winners.

This year’s annual collectable postal cancellation will feature a variety of themes including celebrating Victory Junction’s 10th anniversary, making noise themed engine and paying tribute to Lynda Petty wife of NASCAR Icon Richard Petty and Patricia Petty wife of NASCAR Hall of Fame member Maurice Petty.

The festival also welcomes the Richard Petty Fan Club to the Petty Museum located at the Petty Enterprises Historic Site in the Randleman community of Level Cross. Autograph sessions will vary with most being in late afternoon.

Randleman, located off I-73/74 (the former Hwy 220) at Exits 81 and 82, is minutes from anywhere in the Piedmont Triad in the center of it all. For more information contact the Randleman Chamber of Commerce at 336-495-1100 or email at chamber43@northstate.net.
