ASHEBORO – Production of the N.C. Division of Tourism’s 2009 Official Travel Guide is currently underway. The guide is distributed annually through the state's Welcome Centers and via VisitNC.com and 800-VisitNC. It is distributed locally at the Visitor Information Center in Asheboro and at the Archdale-Trinity, Asheboro-Randolph, Liberty, and Randleman chambers of commerce.

The guide features statewide attractions and accommodations along with descriptions, contact information, and editorial coverage. If you are located in Randolph County and own or manage an attraction, hotel, motel, lodge, or bed and breakfast inn you may be eligible for inclusion. The deadline to submit information is Friday, June 20, 2008.

The guidelines for inclusion in the Official N.C. Travel Guide include but are not limited to the following: •Must be located within the borders of Randolph County and/or have a Randolph County street address •Must be of interest to and open to the general public at least three days per week and three hours per day •Must bring in 25% of visitors annually from outside of a 60-mile perimeter. Requests for inclusion in this publication must be made directly to the Randolph County Tourism Development Authority. It is the full responsibility of the property to provide complete accurate and updated information in a timely manner to be considered for the guide.
