ASHEBORO, NC – Trying to collect 'em all? Get outside at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro and have some fun! On Thursday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Zoo will host a Pokemon Lure Party offering $2 off regular admission for all gamers who show their Pokemon Trainer Profile (one person per discount, valid July 28, 2016, only.) The North Carolina Zoo boasts an incredible 52 accessible PokeStops and eight gyms. Zoo staff will place Lures at PokeStops throughout the event. This dual opportunity to see the Zoo’s 1,600 animals while playing the new sensation is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. Restock your backpack at one of the many PokeStops, gain experience at a gym of your choice and hatch those eggs by walking the Zoo's five miles of shaded trails. Rare Pokemon are seen at the Zoo, along with water, electric, rock, grass, fire, ground, psychic and fighting Pokemon. Share what you collect at #NCZooPokemon. During the party there will be special live animal ambassador encounters and keeper talks to accentuate the fun. Beat the heat with the Zoo's misters, one of which is a PokeStop!
