Asheboro, NC — The 2015 North Carolina Zoo season officially kicks off Wednesday, and there are plenty of new and expanded exhibits for people to check out.
One of last year's most popular exhibits on dinosaurs will be back.
Zoo visitors can once again take a step back in prehistoric time this year, for a new and improved Dino World exhibit.
"We have more dinosaurs this year,” said Gavin Johnson with the NC Zoo. “We also have a dinosaur which will allow kids to move the dinosaur, and you can see how dinosaurs actually moved."
The exhibit set zoo attendance records in 2012 and 2013. Its 20 dinosaurs, which includes a 23 foot T-Rex, have plenty of special effects.
