For women needing a mammogram, there is a local program at Randolph Cancer Center for uninsured/under insured women of Randolph County. As of July 40 women have gone through our mammogram fund.

The program is funded by a motorcycle ride called, Bikers For Boobs Breast Cancer Ride. It is A NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION which was established by Fay Morgan of Liberty and Joy Hicks of Asheboro. Both are breast cancer survivors.

Bikers For Boobs Breast Cancer Ride is havening their 2 annual Breast Cancer ride. The ride will be on September 24, 2011 at Cox's Harley-Davidson 2795 NC Hwy 134 Asheboro, NC. Registration starts at 8:00 am for a 2 hrs. ride through Randolph County side. The fee is $20.00 per bike, it's an open event. There will be live music from 3 different local bands, Nashville recording artist Ross Coppley and food from Sagebrush and games for the kids. There will be a silent auction table, 50/50 tickets. Come see the Pink fire truck from The Pink Heals Tour and you can sign it or put a message on it. All profits are going to the Randolph Cancer center, mammogram fund. The mammogram fund was started by Fay Morgan and Joy Hicks, both are 3 yrs. Breast Cancer Survivors. Last year they raised $17,000.00, which as of July 2011 40 women have used the fund. They feel very strongly, that every woman has the right to a mammogram. Those women shouldn't have to live in fear of haven Breast cancer.
