Seagrove Potters Plan Studio Tour Instead of Festival
The Celebration of Seagrove Pottery Studio Tour is scheduled for November 20 through the 22

SEAGROVE, NC  — The Seagrove Potters Association announced it would host a studio tour in lieu of its annual festival.

"It's important for potters as a way to make their living, and there's a lot of people who are used to coming out the weekend before Thanksgiving and buying pots for the holidays,' Seagrove Potters Association board member Fred Johnson said.

Bobbie Thomas, of Thomas Pottery, said business has been an adjustment this year throughout the pandemic.

"We're used to having a lot of foot traffic and selling just with people coming to our door. With the shutdown, it made us have to regroup and learn how to sell online," Thomas said.

However, she said as the state has reopened, the business has picked up.

“People are starting to feel comfortable about coming out. These beautiful fall days I think are helping with people wanting to get out and about, and they are feeling like they can come here because in Seagrove we are spread enough apart," Thomas said.

The event is scheduled for November 20 through the 22. More information can be found on this website.
