North Carolina Zoo to Host Seasonal Job Fairs on Jan. 27 and Feb. 6

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Are you looking to join a dynamic workforce in a fun, family-friendly environment? If so, the North Carolina Zoo just may be for you!
Seasonal job fairs will be offered on Saturday, Jan. 27 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Tuesday, Feb. 6 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) as the Zoo seeks Zoo Ambassadors for the 2018 season. Each job fair will be held at the Stedman Education Building located next to the North America entrance.
Full-time and part-time positions available include: transportation drivers; environmental services; admissions cashiers/gate attendants; special attractions cashiers; guests’ educators; park security; and air hike/paddleboat operators. In addition, there are restaurant/catering job opportunities and retail/membership sales opportunities.
Successful applicants must be 16 or older, able to work weekends and holidays, well-groomed, and must wear their assigned uniform properly and in its entirety. Other requirements include an ability to work outside in varying weather conditions and to walk and stand for extended time periods. A high-school diploma or GED (or working toward completion) is preferred.
