Seagrove potters celebrate 17th annual Christmas in July event
Posted on 06/30/11Seagrove, NC - The world famous pottery community of Seagrove, NC will celebrate the 17th Annual Christmas in July on July 15th, 16th and 17th, 2011. Numerous area potters will kick off the holiday season early by debuting their 2011 Christmas items in their holiday decorated shops. Some of the participating potteries will have demonstrations of pottery production, others may have refreshments or door prizes.
The production of handmade pottery is so time consuming that potters traditionally begin making their Christmas wares in the summer. The Seagrove area has nurtured the pottery industry for over 200 years and there is no place like it in the world. Come to Seagrove and refresh yourself with thoughts of Christmas in the heat of July!
