Visitors Bureau seeks information for 2009 guide

Date: September 5 2008Contact: Tammy O’Kelley DirectorVisitors Bureau Requests Tourism Information for 2009 Annual Visitors GuideASHEBORO – Randolph County Tourism is currently working to develop its 2009 Heart of North Carolina Visitors Guide. The guide is distributed through the state\s Welcome Centers VisitNC.com and 800-VisitNC; and locally at the Visitors Bureau in downtown Asheboro and area chamber offices. It features countywide attractions accommodations dining shopping and a special events calendar. If you believe you may be eligible for inclusion in the visitors guide the deadline to submit information is Friday September 19 2008. Guidelines include but are not limited to the following:- Must be located within the borders of Randolph County and/or have a Randolph County street address; - Must be of interest to and open to the general public; and- Must bring in 25% of visitors from outside of a 60-mile perimeterAll events must have specific dates and a contact name; events that do not include start and end dates will not be included in the guide. Events that are not eligible for inclusion include: - Educational classes - Seminars - Summer camp schedules - Fundraising and retail sales events - Local recitals - Civic club and community meetings - Graduations - Family or class reunions - Conference dates - Exceedingly localized eventsRequests for inclusion in this publication must be made directly to the Randolph County Tourism Development Authority.
