Clay Serving Tray Class Offered in Randolph County

Archdale, NC - Are you in need of a specific sized serving tray?  Do you enjoy projects that provide an opportunity to use your hands?  If so, an upcoming art class designed for adults of all ages may be the creative solution for you.  The Randolph Arts Guild (R.A.G.) offers a Clay Handmade Serving Tray Class taught by regional artist and educator, Jennifer Pfeiffer.  Jennifer offers a fun opportunity to create your own serving trays and learn some of the basics of hand-building with clay.  No experience required.  This is for total beginners all the way to those with plenty of experience and are ready to enjoy a hands-on project.  All materials are provided.  This class meets at Archdale Parks and Recreation’s Creekside Park located at 214 Park Drive on Tuesday, August 4 from 1p — 3:30p.  A second section of the class is also available in the evening on Thursday, August 6 from 6 p.m. -- 8 p.m. The cost of the class is $50 for R.A.G. members, $55 for non-members.  Payment and registration are required for enrollment.  The enrollment deadline for these classes is Monday, July 27.  To enroll in either section of the Clay Handmade Serving Tray Class, contact the Randolph Arts Guild at (336) 629-0399.

Artist Bio: Jennifer Pfeiffer is originally from Albany in Upstate New York, graduating from Roberts Wesleyan college with a BS in Fine Arts/ Art education (concentration in Ceramics and drawing) and a minor in coaching. She moved from New York to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2010 and started teaching High School Art and coaching for Guilford County Schools. She has been involved in all types of Art camps and programs since she was a teen. Her favorite mediums are Clay and watercolor paints. Her other passions outside of the arts are playing Soccer and Basketball in adult leagues and spending time decorating her home. Jenn has always had a passion for sharing and teaching the arts with others to help them bring joy and creativity to their lives as well. She married her husband Matt in 2013 and they now reside in their new home in High Point NC.
