Uwharrie Mountains-Birkhead Wilderness Area/Tot Hill Farm
Access 5,160 acres of the ancient Uwharrie National Forest in the Birkhead Mountains Wilderness Area. The piedmont's only federally-designated wilderness area, the Birkhead Mountains feature designated hiking trails where evidence of early Indians and settlers can often be found.
