ASHEBORO, NC - “There’s always room for one more pot,” said a pottery customer recently to Samantha Henneke of Bulldog Pottery. According to Henneke, that’s because there is always time for one more kiln opening.

Bulldog Pottery’s Holiday Kiln Opening is set to take place Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 10 am to 5 pm. Join potters, Bruce Gholson and Samantha Henneke for “One More Hurrah” and their “hottest” pots of the year where they will showcase a select group of decorative molybdenum crystalline glazes and a new series of ceramic wall art.

Bulldog Pottery is located amongst a unique community of working potters who live and work within just a few short miles of one another in Seagrove, North Carolina. More than 60 pottery shops, studios and galleries are open throughout the year, making Seagrove a shopping destination for pottery lovers. Much of Seagrove’s appealing character is shaped by the potters living on the properties of their shops, just as Gholson and Henneke do. Some live just feet away, while others live above their shops, much like the pottery families who first settled the Seagrove area some five generations ago.

Bulldog Pottery is open throughout the year on Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and other times by appointment. The shop is located five miles south of Seagrove’s only traffic light at 3306 US Highway 220 Alt. Look for the distinctive blue water tower beside the driveway leading to their shop.
