Posted on 03/18/14

Asheboro, NC - Sunny Slopes Farm and Ranch nestles against the northeastern face of Purgatory Mountain. Owned by Roger and Brenda Pritchard, it covers approximately 220 acres.

In addition to being a working farm, Sunny Slopes also provides a window into how the natural environment remains vital to our everyday existence. Covered with fields, forests and streams, this farm functions as a place to enjoy the natural world and learn about the importance of agriculture.

Roger Pritchard is no ordinary farmer. Along with raising cattle and sheep and a host of other farm animals, he also works toward raising awareness of the significance of agriculture. Sunny Slopes serves as an educational center for those desiring to learn more about the importance of agriculture and the richness of Randolph County’s rural heritage.
