Visitors Bureau Announces Production Schedule for 2013 Official Visitors & Dining Guide

Asheboro, NC - The Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau (HNCVB) announced today the production schedule for the 2013 official Heart of North Carolina Visitors Guide. The visitor guide is the primary fulfillment piece provided to travelers and prospective travelers to and within Randolph County and is distributed nationally and internationally through the state's nine welcome centers, the Division of Tourism, Film & Sports Development fulfillment center, AAA and CAA offices; and locally at the Visitors Bureau in downtown Asheboro, area chamber offices, and the Heart of North Carolina Visitor Centers in Seagrove. The new guide will also be downloadable at www.HeartofNorthCarolina.com and www.VisitNC.com, the official county and state destination websites; and for the first time, travelers will be able to access versions of the guide that are optimized for iPads, Android tablets and smart phones.

The visitors guide features museums and attractions, outdoor fun and arts and entertainment venues, history and heritage landmarks, public golf courses, sports and racing venues, and parks and recreation sites; regional maps, vineyards and wineries, and an annual calendar of festivals and events. The 2013 edition marks the sixth annual publication of the guide and will feature the Seagrove area potteries as its cover.

If you believe you may be eligible for FREE inclusion in the 2013 guide, the deadline to submittals is 5 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012. Requests for property listing forms and copies of the guidelines for inclusion in this publication must be made directly to the Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau. In order to be considered, it is the full responsibility of owners, managers, and event organizers to provide complete, accurate, and updated information in a timely manner. The Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for Randolph County Tourism Development Authority, representing Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity; and operates solely on occupancy taxes generated by overnight guests in Randolph County with the five percent lodging tax collected in 2011 represented $13,770,441 in in lodging sales.
