NC American Indian Pottery exhibit on display

Visit the new exhibition of North Carolina’s American Indian potters at the North Carolina Pottery Center in Seagrove Saturday, May 17th for an afternoon of special activities. The exhibition and all events are free of charge. From 1-3 pm there will be pottery demonstrations by American Indian potters. Visitors of all ages will have chance to make and decorate their own coil pot.

Also from 1-3 pm the North Carolina Archaeological Society members will be offering Pottery Identification for your family treasures. The exhibit Contemporary Pottery from North Carolina’s American Indian Communities and Contemporary Catawba Indian Pottery will be open 10 am-5 pm. The Artists’ Reception is 3-5 pm.
