Caraway Speedway Fights Hunger with Car Show

Posted on 02/08/12

Sophia, NC - Caraway Speedway has partnered with Oak Hollow Mall to help fight hunger in the local community. The drivers at the speedway will have race cars on display at the mall on Saturday March 3rd from 10am until 9pm.

Non-Perishable food collection bins will be placed at every race car as the community comes together to help those in need. The race car that collects the most food will receive a special award. All food will be donated to Helping Hands A Ministry Of Grace in High Point to be distributed to the local families in need. "The need for food has grown over the past few years in our community. Families struggle just to keep a roof over their heads and this is our way of giving back and encouraging our fans and racers to do the same." stated Track Promoter Darren Hackett.

Spend your Saturday at the mall shopping, looking at race cars, meeting drivers, Photo opportunities will be available with Miss Caraway Speedway and many fun activities will be offered to all ages.

The 47th Season gets under way on March 25th with a 250 Lap Nascar Late Model Stock and 150 Lap Nascar Whelen Southern Modified Tour events beginning at 2pm. For more information contact the speedway office at 336-629-5803 or on the web at carawayspeedway.com.
