North Carolina Zoo Offers Exciting Array of Summer Day Camps
Posted on 04/19/18Asheboro, NC — Looking for a fun, educational experience for your child? The North Carolina Zoo will again offer an array of exciting summer camps that promise to engage the brain, entertain the senses, and enhance environmental awareness.
Whether you’re learning about where you can find the three types of North American bears, how much food one elephant can eat, or what it takes to be a zookeeper, each day is filled with games, crafts, zoo exploration, and special encounters.
From mid-June through late July, a total of 14 themed camps will be offered. There are two week-long day camps (Monday through Friday): one each for rising first- through third-graders and rising fourth- through sixth-graders. Also offered are eight daily camps, four each for respective age groups. Four KidZu daily camps also will be offered that are specially designed for children with high-functioning autism in the fourth- through eighth-grades.
All camps are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Day camps are $50 each per child and the week-long day camps are $250 per child. A 10 percent discount is available on select camps when purchasing three or more.
