An Artful Call for Stephenson portrait session

Asheboro, NC - Do you know of someone deserving of recognition for the positive impact they are making in the local community -- someone you would consider an "Asheboro Saint"?  Area microbrewery, Four Saints Brewing Company (F.S.B.C.) located at 218 South Fayetteville Street in downtown Asheboro invites you to nominate a person deserving of this honor for an artful reward.

Four selected "Asheboro Saints" will be creatively rendered by North Carolina portrait artist, Mark Stephenson.  He is the second of five visual artists participating in the Inaugural F.S.B.C. Art Wall Project.  Each selected artist creates a temporary installation of art that will be on display inside the Four Saints tasting room for three months.  Stephenson's selected proposal includes creating four "Asheboro Saints" portraits.  The completed portrait sketches will be on exhibit August through October 2016.  In addition a meet-and-greet reception is planned for the artist, the 'saints', and their nominators on Friday, September 16 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.  The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Nominees should exemplify a modern-day 'saint' -- the definition of which can be interpreted loosely.  Nominees may include anyone making a positive impact on the community, either in the public eye or not.  This is an opportunity to celebrate good works through art and fellowship.  Chosen models will be asked to pose at a pre-arranged time during Four Saints business hours.  The atmosphere will be casual and relaxed.  Stephenson is not looking for traditional 'model' types.  Adults of any age, race, ethnicity, and background are welcome.  The entire process from nominating to portrait sitting is completely free of charge.  The time commitment per portrait will be approximately 2 hours.

Simply complete and submit a short nomination form by visiting this link: http://goo.gl/forms/JkPv8gfQOVPxMgGg1.  Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22.  Selection of saints will be made by Wednesday, June 29.
