Posted on 10/19/15

ASHEBORO, NC – This coming weekend, thousands will converge on Randleman, North Carolina for the 27th Annual NASCAR Day Festival. Held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 9 AM - 6 PM, this festival pays homage to Randleman’s racing heritage as home of the First Family of NASCAR, the Petty’s.

Artists and craftsmen from various states will fill Main Street and Randleman’s new Commerce Square bringing their wares to NASCAR Day including custom rods, designer knives, woodcrafts, and beautiful prints. New this year is a variety of racing simulators including a racing bus that rides five at once, and a wide screen simulator to feed your competitive edge. See who is top dog for the day and earn bragging rights. There will also be a mechanical bull, bounce house, and bungee jumping among many other activities for young and old.

No festival is complete without delicious food, and this year’s NASCAR Day will be no exception. Vendors will offer all the festival foods you desire, including North Carolina barbeque.

Richard Petty and Dale Inman will sign autographs from 4PM to 6PM. Other autograph sessions will be available with most being in late afternoon.

The main stage in Commerce Square will feature The Entertainer’s Band, nominated for five Cammy awards including Band of the Year, Song of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. Country music artist, J Collins & Band will also perform from 10 AM - 12 PM.

The Randco Stage will have music, dancing including clogging, and the Little Mr. & Ms. NASCAR Day Pageant. The third stage will feature some of the finest in gospel music.

The annual collectable postal cancellation will feature the “Let’s go racin'” theme. The Randleman Chamber will also raffle a print signed by NASCAR Hall of Famers Lee & Richard Petty. The postal cancellation and raffle tickets will be available at the chamber information booth on Naomi Street, near the chamber office.
