Randolph Arts Guild offers Clay Pumpkin Jar/Tea Light Class with NC Potter, Brooke Avery

Asheboro, NC - What lasts longer than a creatively carved seasonal pumpkin?  How about a pumpkin shaped tea light or jar made out of clay?  Join North Carolina potter, Brooke Avery as she reprises this popular clay class at the Randolph Arts Guild.  Attendees ages 15 and up will create their very own unique pumpkin out of clay complete with lid and/or optional holes to create a jar or a luminary.   The class meets on Mondays: November 2 & 9 from 6 pm - 8 pm at the guild located in downtown Asheboro at 123 Sunset Avenue.  All materials provided.  The class costs $30 for guild members, $35 for non-members.  Payment and registration are required for enrollment.  The enrollment deadline is Monday, October 26.  For more information contact the Randolph Arts Guild at (336) 629-0399.

Artist Bio:  Brooke Avery is a ceramic artist and pottery instructor who grew up grew up and currently resides in Trinity, NC.  She graduated in 2008 from UNCG with a B.F.A. in Design.  Brooke teaches pottery classes at the Randolph Arts Guild and is currently a working studio artist there.  Her ceramic work can be found in Greensboro at the Center for Visual Arts and in Asheboro at Morings Fine Crafts and Brightside Gallery.  Brooke is also the 2014 Chug & Chunk Womens Triathlon Champion.
