The Randolph Arts Guild offers Parent/Child Clay Wind Chime Class with Brooke Avery

Asheboro, NC - The Randolph Arts Guild offers an easy-to-follow parent and child clay project class. N.C. potter Brooke Avery leads a wind chime class for youth ages 7 and up with a parent or another adult. Together with Brooke you will make a set of wind chimes out of clay. The class provides and opportunity to explore creativity with clay forms. Students design and create different shapes and patterns for the chimes that will later be strung together. Each parent/child attendee will create, fire, assemble, and take home a handmade wind chime creation. All materials are provided. This class meets from 10 a.m. — 12 p.m. on Saturdays: May 2, 9, & 16 at the Randolph Arts Guild located at 123 Sunset Avenue in downtown Asheboro. The class costs $50 for R.A.G. members and $55 for non-members. Payment and registration are required for enrollment. The enrollment deadline is Wednesday, April 22. Bio:
Brooke Avery is a ceramic artist and pottery instructor who grew up grew up and currently resides in Trinity, NC. She graduated in 2008 from UNCG with a B.F.A. in Design. Brooke teaches pottery classes at the Randolph Arts Guild and is currently a working studio artist there. Her ceramic work can be found in Greensboro at the Center for Visual Arts and in Asheboro at Morings Fine Crafts and Brightside Gallery. Brooke is also the 2014 Chug & Chunk Womens Triathlon Champion.
