Valentine Cupcake Artist at Brightside Gallery

Asheboro, NC - Brightside Gallery will be hosting a Valentine cupcake artist on February 14, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the front left parlor at 170 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC.  Leslie Davis is a cake baking and decorating artist in Asheboro, NC.  Originally from Kannapolis, NC, she began her cake-baking career at 8 years old when her Grandmother put her on a stool in her kitchen and taught Leslie to bake homemade pound cake. Even then she knew this was the perfect art for her. Fast forward to 1996.  Leslie took two of the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes and she was learning to decorate and make the cakes at a whole new level.  Leslie explains, “I am known as an "old school" decorator because I use buttercream and do not use fondant for the cake creations I make. I make any style cake from wedding cakes to the simple we just want to have dessert at home tonight cakes.”
