Randolph Arts Guild to host Heritage Corn Shuck Doll Making Workshop

Asheboro, NC - How do you make Native American heritage-based corn shuck dolls?  Join Karen McFetters, Linda Coltrane, and Brenda Langley for a simple -- yet thorough workshop and make your very own doll.   In this class you will learn the time honored Native American craft complete with hand dyed husks, and other natural materials including alpaca fleece, wool, and silk blends.  This class is design for adults, children and everyone in between.  If you are seven or younger please bring an adult with you.  This is a drop-in style class offered on Sunday, October 26 between 1 p.m. -- 5 p.m. as part of the 3rd Annual Randolph Ramble.  Plan on 40 minutes per doll.  $10 per doll.  No registration deadline.  This class takes place at the Randolph Arts Guild located at 123 Sunset Avenue in downtown Asheboro.  For more information call the guild at (336) 629-0399.
