Visitors Bureau Distributing 2013 Official Visitor Guides

Asheboro, NC - The 2013 Official Heart of North Carolina Visitors Guide is now available at the Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau (HNCVB) in downtown Asheboro, and the Randolph County Visitor Centers in Seagrove. This comprehensive guide contains valuable information on what to see and do while visiting Randolph County, including an "About the Area" section and a detailed listing of festivals and events, local dining, distinctive shopping, museums and attractions, outdoor fun, arts and entertainment, history and heritage sites, golf, sports and racing, parks and recreation, vineyards and wineries, and places to stay throughout the county. There is also a special removable map section located in the center of the guide featuring the Seagrove area potteries, and a "Things to Do" area map.

The cover of this year's guide features "Seagrove, Handmade Pottery Capital of the United States," with a welcome letter by Arnold Lanier, Randolph County Board of Commissioners, and includes a section highlighting the Seagrove area including a Seagrove Pottery section with a full color directory of the 67 shops and galleries throughout the county, Seagrove historical perspective, and map that includes pottery shops and galleries, museums, and the visitor centers locations.

The visitors guide is produced annually by the HNCVB to provide information to travelers, fulfillment for Relocate to Randolph requests, and serve as a tourism information resource for the local community. The HNCVB will provide a brochure stand and guides at no cost to any business wishing to display them. The guides are particularly helpful for anyone planning a wedding, family reunion, sports tournament, corporate meeting or other event.

Guides can be picked up at the HNCVB, ;ocated inside the Randolph County Historic Courthouse, 145-B Worth Street, Asheboro, anytime Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; or at either of the Randolph County Visitor Centers on Hwy 220 one mile south of Seagrove anytime Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, or Sunday from 12:30 to 4:30 pm.
