NC Zoo Aviary Exhibit Temporarily Closes for Repairs, Renovations

Posted on 02/16/12

ASHEBORO, NC - The North Carolina Zoo will temporarily close its RJ Reynolds Forest Aviary exhibit, Feb. 20-24, for routine winter maintenance.

The closing affects only the one exhibit, and all other zoo exhibits and facilities will remain open as usual.
The yearly closing is necessary so that zoo staff can prune large trees and complete planter-renovation projects within and around the popular indoor exhibit.

The zoo is an agency of the N.C. Department of Environment & Natural Resources, Dee Freeman, Secretary; Beverly Eaves Perdue, Governor.
