Visitors Bureau Distributing 2012 Official Visitor Guides

Asheboro, NC - The 2012 Heart of North Carolina Visitors Guide is now available free of charge at the visitors bureau in downtown Asheboro. This comprehensive guide contains valuable information on what to see and do while visiting Randolph County, including a detailed listing of festivals and events, local dining, distinctive shopping, museums and attractions, outdoor fun, arts and entertainment, history and heritage sites, golf, sports and racing, parks and recreation, vineyards and wineries, and places to stay throughout the county. A highlighted feature of the guide is the Seagrove Pottery section, including a full color directory of more than 65 shops and galleries and accompanying map and historical perspective.

This year's guide cover features Linbrook Hall, one of the largest homes in the southeastern United States, with more than 60 rooms. Linbrook Hall, part of Linbrook Heritage Estate in Trinity, is located in view of America's oldest mountain range, the Uwharrie Mountains, and contains architectural details found in many 18th century homes. The home, owned by Jerry and Linda Neal, is now open for tours by appointment.

The visitors guide is produced annually by the Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau to provide information to tourists and visitors to the county, as well as to serve as a resource for the local community. The visitors bureau will provide a brochure stand and guides at no cost to any business wishing to display them. The guides are particularly helpful for anyone planning a wedding, family reunion, sports tournament, corporate meeting or other event.
