ASHEBORO, NC - The third week of the month-long festival "ZooFest 2011" continues at the North Carolina Zoo Saturday, Oct. 15, with activities from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Saturday's event, "HOWL-O-Ween," celebrates red-wolves, with keeper talks and educational activities. Zoo guests can visit a wolf information station from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the red-wolf exhibit, check out hands-on information available and meet and talk to keepers at 1:15 p.m.

ZooFest 2011 continues Oct. 22 with "Batology" featuring educational activities and keeper talks on bats at the vampire bat exhibit in the park's Sonora Desert building. ZooFest concludes the weekend of Oct. 29-30 with the zoo's annual "Boo at the Zoo," celebrating its 21st year and featuring game booths, entertainers, music, story telling, costume contests and parades.

All the fun takes place each weekend during regular zoo hours of 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is included in the regular zoo admission of $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+) and $8 for children (ages 2-12).
