NC Pottery Center presents 'Working Together: Online Gala & Benefit Auction'

Seagrove, NC - Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit North Carolina Pottery Center is taking its 2020 gala, raffle, and benefit auction ONLINE this year! This year’s fundraiser is titled 'Working Together' because a majority of the works have been collaborations of two or more potters. This illustrates the importance of working together in a challenging time, safely. These pieces will be available in the online silent auction. The true value of each piece also lives in the belief each artist has in the nonprofit North Carolina Pottery Center and our mission of sharing North Carolina's Clay Stories, Past & Present, thereby promoting awareness and appreciation of the history, heritage, and on-going tradition of pottery making in our great state.

We hope you'll join us for our online streaming event where you'll get a closer look - through video and music - at some of these artists, their work, and why they believe supporting the North Carolina Pottery Center is important.

Solo Works: While most of the pieces this year will be collaborative works, there will also be a limited number of wonderful solo works as well from artists such as Mark Hewitt, Eric Knoche, Hamish Jackson, Susan Myers, Bob Meier, and Shawn Ireland.

The mission of the North Carolina Pottery Center is to promote public awareness of and appreciation for the history, heritage, and ongoing tradition of pottery making in North Carolina.
