HNCVB Announces 2019-20 Marketing Assistance, Grants, and Sponsorships Program

Posted on 07/21/19

Asheboro, NC - The Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau allocates a portion of its occupancy tax appropriation each year to support a Marketing Assistance, Grants, and Sponsorships (MAGS) program. The objective of this program is to support and stimulate the growth of new and innovative tourism products, events, and services that have the potential to increase overnight visitors to Randolph County by providing financial assistance to nonprofit partners and municipalities in Randolph County without hotels including Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity.

The theme and focus of MAGS requests must be consistent with the Tourism Development Authority’s mission and marketing strategies. The 2019-20 fiscal year program is funded at $35,000 with up to $5,000 available to each municipality. Applications will be accepted monthly through May 2020. The MAGS Committee will review all applications received in each monthly submission cycle and forward recommendations to the Clerk to the Board for notification to applicants.

To review the full program guidelines, please go to www.HeartofNorthCarolina.com/mags where there is also a link to complete an application online and a list of application deadline dates for the 2019-20 fiscal year. For more information contact Tammy O’Kelley, CEO for Randolph County Tourism Development Authority at (336) 626-0364.

The Heart of North Carolina Visitors Bureau is the official destination marketing organization for Randolph County Tourism Development Authority, representing Archdale, Asheboro, Franklinville, Liberty, Ramseur, Randleman, Seagrove, Staley, and Trinity.
