North Carolina Zoo - Aviary Temporary Closure

Asheboro, NC – The North Carolina Zoo will close its Aviary Mon. Jan. 28 through Fri, Feb. 1 for routine annual maintenance. 

The Aviary features more than 100 exotic birds across 36 species, plus tortoises and poison dart frogs that live among more than 3,000 tropical plants in the immersive indoor habitat.

It is scheduled to reopen on Sat., Feb 2 at 9:30 a.m. 

Winter hours for the North Carolina Zoo are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
