North Carolina Zoo Announces Closure on Sunday, Dec. 9 2018

ASHEBORO, NC­­— The North Carolina Zoo will be closed to the
public on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 based on the winter storm forecast predicted for North
Carolina. The storm is projected to begin early Sunday with deteriorating conditions
throughout the day. The Zoo’s priority is to ensure the safety of our staff and
the 1,600 animals under our care.

The Zoo is scheduled to be open normal operating hours on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
