Explore the Oceans of the World Saturday, Celebrate Father’s Day Sunday at the North Carolina ZooPosted on 06/16/17
ASHEBORO, NC – The North Carolina Zoo invites you to celebrate World Oceans Day from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, in the Zoo’s upper Polar Bear habitat and Kidzone. Kids can be photographed with the Zoo’s Puffin and Polar Bear Mascots, participate in a photo pledge booth, learn how to lessen ocean pollution, help with ocean themed community art and even visit with representatives of the North Carolina Transportation Museum.
Oceans cover nearly 70% of the Earth’s surface and contain about 97% of the Earth’s water supply. Zoo visitors will learn about the impact each human has on this water supply. Everyone can help preserve and sustain our oceans and the animals that inhabit them and help keep all waterways healthy for years to come. This weekend’s event will allow Zoo guests to be part of the solution.
On June 18, the North Carolina Zoo will celebrate Father’s Day with a special offer for Dads. Guests mentioning the Zoo’s Father’s Day coupon will receive $2.00 off Dad’s admission with one paid admission Sunday only. The North Carolina Zoo appreciates dads too!
