Holly Ridge Golf Classic to benefit Hospice of Randolph
Posted on 07/13/16Archdale, NC - Holly Ridge Golf Links located at 7933 US Hwy 311 South in Archdale, NC, has announced plans for its upcoming charity classic tournament to benefit Hospice of Randolph County on August 6 & 7, with a 9-hole Par 3 shootout dinner event to kick everything off on Friday evening, August 5. The lead sponsor of this year’s event is the Larry Brown Jr. Nationwide Insurance Agency in Randleman. Now in its 16th year, the management & staff of Holly Ridge have hosted this special event in memory of founders John Ridge and Jerry Davis. Since 2001, Holly Ridge has raised $92,310 to benefit Hospice of Randolph County and the tournament continues to grow. As Randolph County’s only non-profit hospice, Hospice of Randolph County has been serving the county and surrounding communities for over 33 years providing quality care to patients and their families dealing with life-limiting illnesses. Services include specialized pain control and symptom management; medication, equipment and supplies related to the primary diagnosis; physical, occupational & speech therapy; emotional & spiritual support; and grief counseling support. In 2011, Hospice of Randolph County opened the Randolph Hospice House, a 16-bed, 18,500 sq. ft. specialized facility built especially for hospice patients and designed as a place of comfort and peace with a professional clinical staff on duty 24 hours a day for those who are not able to be cared for at home.
The Holly Ridge Charity Classic will be held on their 18-hole, 6,579-yard course designed by Jim Bevins. This scenic par-72 course boasts newly redesigned championship greens offering some of the best course conditions in the Carolinas. Registration for individual golfers is $75 plus cart and green fees the day of the event. There are also hole sponsorships available for $100 and different Corporate Level Sponsorships which includes more entries and additional recognition.
