Randolph Arts Guild to Offer Clay Easter Egg Basket Class

Asheboro, NC - The Randolph Arts Guild offers a hands on opportunity to create your own clay Easter egg basket with North Carolina Potter, Brooke Avery.  The class is an inter-generational class designed for the young and young at heart and is open to all ages. The class meets on two consecutive Wednesdays, March 9 and 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Attendees will learn how to hand build and customize their own clay project that will be glazed and fired.  All materials are provided.  This class meets at the Randolph Arts Guild located in downtown Asheboro at 123 Sunset Avenue.  The class costs $30 for R.A.G. members and $35 for non-members.  Payment and registration are required for enrollment.  The enrollment deadline is Wednesday, March 2.  For more information contact the Randolph Arts Guild at (336) 629-0399 x 23.  

Artist Bio: Brooke Avery is a ceramic artist and pottery instructor who grew up grew up and currently resides in Trinity, NC.  She graduated in 2008 from UNCG with a B.F.A. in Design.  Brooke teaches pottery classes at Randolph Community College and at the Randolph Arts Guild and is currently a working studio artist there.  Her ceramic work can be found in Greensboro at Art and Soul, Design Archives and in Asheboro at Morings Fine Crafts and Brightside Gallery.  Brooke is also the 2014 Chug & Chunk Womens Triathlon Champion.
