Asheboro, NC - The Randolph Arts Guild (RAG) hosts a highly customizable crafting class designed for all ages (seven and under with an adult). Enrollees will learn how to create their own Voo Doo doll/dude with craft artist, Mary Davis. This is a simple project that provides the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind folk doll. Broken heart? Two left feet? Cure what ails you with a self expression voodoo/voodude doll. Attendees are encouraged to bring vintage materials, jewelry and small personal mementos. This class meets on Wednesday, October 22 from 6 p.m. -- 8 p.m. $40 RAG members, $45 non-members. Payment and completed registration are required for enrollment. Mary Davis created her first doll, Pinky McGee when she was five years old. Mary has been hooked ever since. Doll making is a creative outlet for all ages and requires very little skill -- just patience and a willingness to learn. Mary is a recent resident to Asheboro, NC and enjoys sharing her love of doll making with others.
