Posted on 09/12/14

Asheboro, NC - Brightside Gallery is ending its 2014 “front porch season” in style with a Friday evening function on September 19, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Brightside Gallery is located at 170 Worth Street, Asheboro, NC. This is at the corner of Worth and Cox streets.

For this final front porch evening event of the season, Brightside Gallery will feature a local band—The Barrister Boys--on the grand front porch. Feel free to bring your folding chairs and blankets to sit in the front yard.

The Barrister Boys is made up of five local musicians who double as attorneys by day. Members of the band include: Dick Roose on banjo; Jon Megerian on guitar; Ed Bunch (aka “Fast Eddie") playing lead guitar; Frank Wells on mandolin and Ricky Cox on bass. They have played music together off and on for twenty years. Their style of music has been coined as Folk Grass. It is a mix of oldies and bluegrass music played in a bluegrass style.

Native Son Vineyard, out of Franklinville, NC, will be set up on the front porch providing FREE wine tastings of their locally harvested and distilled grapes. Sealed bottles of their wine will be for sale at this event.

Herb N Garden will be open during this evening with light refreshments and a garden party on their terrace! Herb N Garden is located at 170-B Worth Street, directly behind the Brightside Gallery building.

Please come and join the gang for an evening of music, food, drinks, and fun at the coolest corner in town! This event is free and open to the public.
